Tamannaah Bhatia’s nutritionist says one habit can lower cortisol levels and calm our minds even more than meditation. It requires just 10 minutes
Celebrity nutritionist Luke Coutinho recently revealed how some of our habits at home are inadvertently making us unhealthy, and no, it has nothing to do with our diet or not eating right.

Light
He explained, 'Your brain is not designed for bright, white LED lights, especially after 10:30 pm. After 8:00 pm, dim lights, warm lights and mild lights such as lamps which do not overwhelm our eyes should be used. You will notice deeper, better quality sleep within days.Air
Contrary to popular beliefs, pollution is not limited to the outside. Closed windows, room fresheners, incense, and kitchen fumes can all compromise our health. All of them can also raise inflammation and cause us to suffer from allergies. Open your windows twice a day and let there be fresh air.Clutter
Aside from being visually unappealing, clutter can cause neurological stress. It makes the brain detect unfinished tasks. A disorganised room can lead to cortisol, the stress hormone, being elevated. A ten-minute dedication to cleaning your room can do wonders for calming your mind. Even more than meditation.Noise
Loud noises from TV, Instagram reels, and YouTube videos can irritate your nervous system. Your body heals only in parasympathetic mode. Create 20 minutes of silence daily in your homeEMF & Screens
Having phones near your pillows and late-night scrolling makes your brain overactive and never lets it have its deserved rest. When you are about to sleep, keep your phone at least 6-8 feet away. Ensure you don’t scroll the screen at least 30 minutes before bedtime. He concluded, "You do not need a new house to heal, only a new relationship with your home.”
