The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai unveiled the "archival corridor" on Tuesday to coincide with JRD Tata's 110th birth anniversary.

Prepare to be taken back in time, when you next walk into the banquet corridor in the first floor of The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. The hotel unveiled the "archival corridor" on Tuesday to coincide with JRD Tata's 110th birth anniversary. The corridor's wall is adorned with mostly black and white photos of a bygone era.

Considering the hotel has a massive collection of photos over the years, the frames along the corridor containing photos, pamphlets, menu cards and newspaper advertisements have been divided into different segments. The corridor is open not only to hotel's stay-in guests, but also visitors.

According to the hotel staff, Taj has been a pioneer in many aspects. It got Mumbai's first elevator, a ballroom, electric connection and fan, cabaret and lively jazz gigs.
