Taj Mahal on Twitter: Walmart & Burrp's founders share pictures
This Independence Day, Taj Mahal became the first monument to have its own Twitter handle. Within minutes of its arrival on the microblogging website, Taj had amassed a massive following. There was a flurry of activity on its page, with ample welcome messages.

To engage users better, UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav kickstarted the MyTajMemory hashtag, with an image of his family, wife, son and him in front of the monument. The floodgates opened, with users sharing their memories through the weekend. Among them were Krish Iyer, CEO, Walmart India and Anand Jain, who previously founded Burrp. Iyer's picture was taken with the Walmart International CEO David Cheesewright.

If there is an image to define India travels, a Taj picture may well be it... time to get yours.
