Taapsee Pannu's 'Dobaaraa' hits a roadblock, shows cancelled on Day 1 of film's release
Before the film's release, Kashyap and Pannu had commented on the boycott trend.

Further reports also suggest that several early shows of the film were cancelled as Anurag Kashyap directorial failed to register footfalls.
The report was shared by Sumit Kadel, a film trade analyst who took to Twitter to share people's reaction to Pannu's film.
#Dobaaraa is off to a DISASTROUS start at the box office, film is registering merely 2-3% occupancy while many early shows are getting cancelled due to NO AUDIENCE.." he tweeted.

Whereas Kashyap voiced the same opinion. ""Yes please, I want our film to trend on the boycott hashtag as well."
The two then said that they wanted to know "if those people who call for a boycott are the ones who even watch films in theatres?" The film marks Kashyap and Pannu's third collaboration after the 2018 hit ‘Manmarziyaan’ and biographical drama ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ (2019), on which he served as producer.
It also reunites her with ‘Thappad’ co-star Pavail Gulati.
