T-20 cricketer Shaun Tait and model Mashoom Singha tie the knot in Mumbai

Aussie cricketer Shaun Tait’s days as a charming bachelor are done — the T-20 fast bowler tied the knot with Indian fashion ramp model Mashoom Singha on June 12. The couple were dating for about four years and were open about their relationship status from the start.

Speaking to ETPanache from Hong Kong, Mashoom says that the proposal came a year back, when the duo was holidaying in Paris.

Divulging details about the celebrations, she says that the functions were spread across a week as “a lot of Shaun’s Australian friends came (to Mumbai) for the wedding. I wore an Anand Kabra ensemble for the Indian ceremony and Gaviin Miguel for the reception, teaming them with jewels by Queenie.”

Mashoom’s sister Shamita is also a model, so the fashion and cricket fraternity turned up at the wedding. Among them was squash player Ritwik Bhattacharya, who is married to model Pia Trivedi, as well as Candice Pinto, Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan.

The couple now plans to divide their time between Mumbai and Adelaide. “We’l l be juggling our schedules between these cities,” says Mashoom.
