In this age of IoT everything, here's another product that you can control with an app (and your voice). Syska's smart lamp looks like any other LED desk lamp at first glance, but it has built-in WiFi and feather-touch controls. Once you plug it in, you can download the Syska Smart Home app (available on iOS and Android). And then, if you have an Amazon Echo speaker, you can also connect and control using voice. The lamp is certified by Amazon to work with Alexa and you will see that if you look at the product link on Amazon.

As for the lamp, it consumes a total power of just 7 watts but is bright enough to light up a large desk (it's rated at 380 lumens). The 36 LEDs provide diffuse lighting and you can switch between three brightness levels and three different colour temperatures (white, warm white, yellow — ranging between 3,000 and 6,000K). The neck of the lamp is flexible and holds its position once set. Syska estimates a life of about 30,000 hours. Online price is Rs 2,999 — quite a good deal we think. You get the eye-safe LED lighting, all the customisations and smart features at a nice price.
