Good news for sweet lovers in Mumbai!

At the city's Sanskriti restaurant, new items on the menu include a portion of jalebi, with a diameter of nine feet and weighing 18kgs, and the 37-kg imarti.

Renowned chef Sanjeev Kapoor, along with the restaurant chefs, has concocted this sweet offering.

"With a diameter of around nine feet and weighing 37 kg, it took 3 hours and 48 minutes to make the imarti," said Sapna Chaturvedi of Sanskriti Restaurant. With this feat, the previous record of a 20 kg imarti has been broken.

But that's not all! The restaurant has also created a world record by coming up with the 'heaviest kadai' for this gastronomical offering.

The restaurant is on a record-high as they hold two new records in the Limca Book of Records. They bagged the 'maximum number of jalebis made in one kadai' record wherein 64 people made 1036 jalebis.

At a jalebi-eating contest at their restaurant, Vinod Nensey Boricha ate the maximum number of jalebis in 2 minutes and winning a spot in Limca Book of Records. Boricha ate 480 gm of jalebi.
