More than a decade after Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan ended their marriage, rumours about their divorce continue to circulate online. One of the most persistent claims has been that Sussanne received Rs 400 crore as alimony. Now, her sister, jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali, has firmly dismissed those reports, calling them false and defending Sussanne against years of speculation.

Farah Khan Ali dismisses sister Rs 400 crore alimony rumours

Speaking to Vickey Lalwani on his YouTube channel, Farah said the widely circulated reports about Sussanne receiving Rs 400 crore after her divorce from Hrithik Roshan are completely untrue. According to her, Sussanne did not take any alimony.

Farah recalled that the couple's separation had shocked many people and attracted intense public attention. However, she said Hrithik and Sussanne handled the situation with dignity and ensured that their personal lives did not turn into a public spectacle.

She also expressed disappointment that the false alimony claim continues to be repeated online. Farah said, "One thing I want to say on record is that there was never Rs 400 crore alimony, and I feel sick at the bottom of my heart when I see people online saying that Rs 400 crore was paid and Sussanne got richer. I mean, that is such a lie. My dearest sister did not take anything."

Why Sussanne remains close to ex-husband Hrithik's family

Farah also explained why Sussanne has a warm relationship with Hrithik Roshan and his parents, Pinkie Roshan and Rakesh Roshan, even years after the divorce.

According to Farah, one reason is that there was never any dispute over money. She said her family was brought up with the belief that relationships matter far more than material possessions, and those values shaped Sussanne's decisions throughout the separation.

"They love her. I think she conducted herself in a very sophisticated manner. She is not a gold-digger. She is very elegant. She comes from a khandani (reputed) family."

Farah also added that Hrithik is also a wonderful person and that sometimes relationships simply do not work out, without either person being at fault.

Farah further said that the way both Hrithik and Sussanne conducted themselves during the divorce helped preserve mutual respect between the two families. As a result, Sussanne continues to share a close bond not only with her former husband but also with her former in-laws.

Why Sussanne never responded to the rumours

Farah revealed that she had often encouraged Sussanne to publicly deny the alimony rumours. However, Sussanne always chose to remain silent. According to Farah, Sussanne's response was simple, she did not care about what strangers thought of her. Rather than spending time addressing baseless claims, she preferred to focus on her own life. Farah added that this outlook reflects the way their family approaches criticism, believing that opinions from people who add no value to their lives are not worth worrying about.
