Sushmita Sen begins shooting for new web series, says life has been 'crazy busy'

Bollywood superstar Sushmita Sen is keeping herself busy amid romance and break-up rumours with Indian Premier League founder Lalit Modi.

The actress revealed on Thursday that she has begun working on a new web series.

Talking to social media, the former Miss Universe announced the news. She also shared that she has been keeping 'crazy busy' due to her work commitments.


Her Instagram post read, "Sun Set.. Sen Rise! ... Getting ready to shoot a brand new web series... I miss you guys & love you beyond!"

The 46-year-old shared that the new series is close to her heart. However, she didn't reveal the name of which streaming platform it will be featured on.

Sen made her digital debut in 2020 with the acclaimed Disney+ Hotstar show 'Aarya'. She was last seen in the second season of the series, which premiered in December 2021. The second part received positive feedback from the audience.

Created by Ram Madhvani, the International Emmy-nominated series will set to return for the third season, which is currently in the pre-production stage. 'Aarya' is the official Hindi series adaption of the popular Dutch show 'Penoza'.

Last month, Sen was roped in as the lead for this intense and power-packed script. The preparation is on and set to go on floors by the end of this year. The biopic will see the actress in multiple shades, in a never-seen-before avatar.

The rights to the biopic have been acquired by Mansi Bagla of Mini Films and ace photographer Subi Samuel's Bungalow No 84.

The casting and other aspects of the film are in the pre-production stage and will go on floors by the end of this year.

In July this year, Modi announced that he was dating Sushmita, and took the nation by storm. He dedicated a post filled with old and present-day pictures of the duo. He changed his Instagram profile to one with the actress from their Sardinia holiday, and mentioned her in the bio as his 'love'.
