Sushant Singh Rajput extensively prepared for his forthcoming film 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' as India's world cup winning captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, which is directed by Neeraj Pandey.

When the actor visited Ranchi and met Dhoni's father, Pan Singh, the two had a detailed discussion about Dhoni and his life.

At that time, Sushant showed Dhoni's father lots of videos of the homework he had done to play the role of Dhoni. Sushant had done all this homework even before the formal training of the film had started.

Dhoni's father was very impressed with the honesty of Sushant and the hard work he was willing to put in to the project. He was convinced that Sushant was the best choice to play the role.
