Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Shweta appeals to PM Modi for swift CBI probe progress, says it has been '45 months'

Shweta Singh Kirti, the sister of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has reached out to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking his intervention to accelerate the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into her brother's death. In a heartfelt video message circulating on social media, Shweta expressed her concerns over the lack of progress in the investigation, stressing the need for closure for her family and the actor's numerous fans.

Call For Prime Minister's Intervention

"This is the 45th month since my brother Sushant Singh Rajput's passing, and we still seek answers. PM Modi ji, kindly help us know the progress of the CBI investigation. Justice for Sushant is our plea," Shweta remarked in her Instagram post, accompanying the video.

Emphasizing the urgency and sensitivity required in handling the case, Shweta highlighted the prolonged duration of the CBI probe, which has left many hearts grieving without closure. She underscored the significance of PM Modi's involvement, expressing hope that it would accelerate the investigation process and provide clarity on the events leading to Sushant's untimely demise.



Since Sushant's tragic death in June 2020, there has been widespread speculation surrounding the circumstances of his passing. Despite initial reports suggesting suicide, doubts about foul play have persisted, prompting calls for a thorough investigation.

Shweta's plea to PM Modi comes amidst growing frustration over the lack of updates from the CBI, with the family and supporters eagerly awaiting closure. "Your attention will really help us to get to know where the CBI has reached in its investigation. It will even help us to inculcate faith within our judiciary system. It will really bring peace to a lot of howling hearts who have been looking for some kind of relief, answers," she stated in her video message.

In a recent conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, Shweta reiterated the family's plea for expedited action from the investigative authorities. "There should be some sensitivity. There’s a family who has gone through such grief. They do not know what happened to their brother. They should feel sensitive and at least tell us," she expressed, reflecting the anguish of those seeking closure.

Despite the challenges and uncertainties surrounding the case, Shweta remains hopeful that the CBI will provide the necessary answers. "I am not an investigator, I cannot investigate the case. I want CBI to tell us what happened. Whatever happened, give us proof and let us know," she affirmed, showing the family's determination to uncover the truth behind Sushant's demise.
