The family of Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has welcomed the decision to institute a CBI probe into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. On Wednesday, Hrithik Rohsan’s mother Pinkie and sister Sunaina commented on social media about the latest development in the death of the 34-year-old actor.Sunaina shared a photograph of the ‘Kedarnath’ actor and wrote ‘Justice for SSR’ in the caption.
In another Instagram post, she welcomed the central government’s decision that has come after a bitter turf war between the Mumbai Police and its Bihar counterpart. The post read, ‘The moment we’ve waited for, has finally arrived’, referring to the Centre's nod to a CBI inquiry.
Hrithik’s mother, Pinkie, dropped a comment on a photographer’s Instagram post, which read, ‘PM Modi Govt accepts Bihar request of CBI probe in Sushant Singh Rajput Case.’
The comment read, ‘Justice’. The comment by the Roshans on social media , comes at a time when fans are calling out Bollywood celebrities for staying silent over Rajput’s demise.Hrithik, though, is yet to comment.
In another development, Rajput’s rumoured ex-girlfriend and his ‘Pavitra Rishta’ co-star, Ankita Lokhande, too, took to Instagram and much like Sunaina, shared a post that read, ‘The moment we’ve waited for, has finally arrived’, a reference to CBI taking over the probe.

Actor Shekhar Suman, who had also urged for a CBI inquiry into Rajput’s death, congratulated the actor’s fans who have been vocal about their demands..

Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti, called the move a ‘Raksha Bandhan’ gift and welcomed the government’s decision. Shweta shared a post on Instagram which read, ‘CBI it is!’.
The CBI, which falls under the Union Home Ministry, will now take over the probe into the ‘Chhichhore’ actor’s death.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court instructed the Mumbai Police to file a status report within three days on the probe conducted so far in the 'Kai Po Che!' actor's death.

Known for films like "MS Dhoni: The Untold Story" and "Kedarnath", Rajput was found hanging at his Bandra home on June 14. Initial reports suggested that the actor had allegedly died of suicide. No suicide note was found in Rajput’s apartment. His post-mortem report said that he had died of asphyxiation.
The actor was cremated at the Vile Parle crematorium on June 15 amid heavy downpour.
