The development comes after the apex court dismissed actress Rhea Chakraborty’s plea seeking transfer of the probe from Bihar to Mumbai and gave a nod to the CBI inquiry on Wednesday.
The Supreme Court has also directed the Mumbai Police to hand over all the evidence they have collected so far in their investigation to the central intelligence agency.

However, there are also reports doing the rounds that the CBI officials may be quarantined on their arrival to Mumbai. Earlier, a BMC official had said that the CBI officials will have to apply exemption from the ongoing lockdown if they are going to stay for more than seven days for the investigation.
“If CBI team comes for 7 days they'll be automatically exempted from quarantine if carrying confirmed return ticket, as per MCGM's existing quarantine guidelines. If they come for more than 7 days they've to apply for exemption via our email id, we'll exempt them,” TOI quoted a BMC commissioner as saying.
Meanwhile, film-maker Rumi Jaffrey arrived at the Enforcement Directorate office today morning. The ED will interrogate Jaffrey about the possible contracts that the film-maker had signed with Rajput and the details of payments, if any.

The ED has till date recorded the statement of several people in the case including Rhea, her brother Showik, her father Indrajit, Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda, his ex-manager Shruti Modi, his personal staff Ritesh Mewati and Dipesh Sawant, Sushant's sister Meetu Singh, his CA Sandeep Sridhar, and Rhea's CA Ritesh Shah.
