Sunny Deol was 'worried' about doing Ikka because the courtroom drama had no action scenes.
Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, Director, Original Films, Netflix India, in an interview with Hindustan Times recalls Sunny Deol's hesitation about the movie. Why? Because it lacked his UPS- action. "We were working on Ikka with Sunny Sir, and he was worried that there was no action."
Ruchikaa convinced him by saying that the beauty of the movie was releasing it on an OTT platform, where they had taken a familiar genre of a courtroom drama, and put Sunny Deol in it.
When he was still left unconvinced she assured him and said that a few months later, either the makers will realise that they should have added an action scene and Sunny Deol will call up and say it was not a bad idea.
At 60, Sunny Deol, finally marked his debut on OTT platform with Ikka which was released on Netflix on July 10.
