As someone rightly said, Sunil Grover’s spot-on mimicry can leave even the real person confused, and that is exactly what happened recently. A new video featuring Aamir Khan, Vir Das and Sunil Grover has taken the internet by storm. Shared as part of the promotions for an upcoming film, the clip has left viewers laughing uncontrollably, with many calling it one of the funniest celebrity collaborations in recent times.

Sunil Grover mimics Aamir Khan in new viral video

The viral video is from the promotional campaign of Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, a film backed by Aamir Khan Productions and co-directed by Vir Das and Kavi Shastri. At first glance, the clip looks chaotic, which is precisely what makes it so entertaining. It opens with a bizarre moment where Aamir Khan appears to be forcibly escorted out of his own office by security guards, a scene that instantly grabs attention and raises eyebrows.

The story then rewinds to reveal how the confusion began. Vir Das enters what he believes is Aamir Khan’s office to discuss the film. Instead of meeting the real superstar, he is greeted by Sunil Grover, who is dressed exactly like Aamir and has perfectly captured his body language, voice modulation and mannerisms. Sunil confidently introduces himself as Aamir Khan and stays completely in character, leaving Vir momentarily convinced.

What follows is a string of hilarious moments. Sunil, posing as Aamir, hands Vir Das a bonus cheque and boldly predicts the film’s success. He jokingly claims that if the film does not become a blockbuster, then he should not be called Aamir Khan, adding that it might even win an Oscar and deserves a sequel cheque in advance. The exaggerated confidence and pitch-perfect delivery make the scene laugh-out-loud funny.

The confusion reaches its peak when the real Aamir Khan walks into the office. However, Vir Das continues to address Sunil as “Aamir,” leaving the actual superstar visibly amused and slightly frustrated. In a comic twist, Aamir calls in the security guards, only for Sunil to cleverly distract them by offering cheques. The guards, convinced by the act, end up dragging the real Aamir Khan out of his own office instead of the imposter.

Aamir Khan's reaction to Sunil Grover act

Apart from the main clip, a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot has also gone viral. In the BTS footage, Sunil is seen performing an emotional scene while impersonating Aamir, as the real actor watches from behind the camera.

At one point, Aamir is seen guiding Sunil on how to perform a moment, only to burst into laughter as Sunil exaggerates the act. Aamir can be seen clapping and laughing along with the crew, clearly impressed by Sunil’s comic timing and accuracy. Crew members also shared group pictures from the set, showing Sunil and Aamir posing together in identical outfits.

This is not the first time Sunil Grover’s Aamir Khan mimicry has won hearts. Earlier, on The Great Indian Kapil Show, Sunil had impersonated Aamir, leaving audiences impressed.
