Suits & Sayings: Estate Planning

ET’s roundup of the wackiest whispers and murmurs in corporate corridors & policy parlours.

Suits & Sayings
When the world’s largest money manager meets the country’s top suit for a morning coffee, what do they discuss? Trump and tariffs may have set the tone for the tete-a-tete, but then far more existential issues took centre stage. Turns out the septuagenarian gent, a Wall Street wiz in town recently to mark his firm’s milestone, was finding it hard to finalise the fleet of cars for his 2,500-acre estate that came with an £80 million price tag three years ago. After test drives and reviews, he’d settled for a particular SUV that his staff could use at the expansive property. A sensible choice but the only catch—there’s a long wait list. We don’t know if the corporate boss intervened, but we’re glad to know even multibillionaires deal with car queue issues.
