Ask fashion designer Sandeep Khosla what’s his version of a suit and he’ll respond with, “White shirt and jeans, always. I hate dressing up.”

According to Khosla, the last time he wore a suit was in boarding school. “We had to wear a blazer in school as part of the uniform. That uniform is the best suit I ever had. I don’t think either of us (Abu Jani and him) possessed a dinner jacket, even till now.”

“Abu (Jani) dresses up of course. He’s got a great eclectic mix. He mixes and matches and he’ll wear a jacket, maybe layer it. He layers more that I would.”

B is for Bandhgala
More often than not, Khosla can be found in a white shirt and jeans. However, on the occasions that he does dress up, he always prefers to go the Indian ethnic route.

“When in doubt, when we go to an occasion, we either wear a bandhgala or kurta pyjama or sherwani over a suit. I don’t have a single suit in my cupboard,” he told ET Panache.

Why not a suit? “I have nothing against a suit. (But) The body is better in a bandhgala. It makes you look slimmer,” he explained.
