We can’t imagine our world without music, that’s true. But have you ever thought that the music that you listen to in your free time can also give you the gift of good health, particularly a good heart?

A research called 'The Effects Of Music On Cardiac Patients On Bed Rest' tells us that patients recovering from heart surgeries recovered better when they listened to music. It lowered their blood pressure and helped them reduce psychological distress.

The study also suggested that music reduced the respiratory rate of the subjects involved.

Another study, called 'Music For Stress And Anxiety Reduction In Coronary Heart Disease Patients', reveals that individuals suffering from coronary heart disease suffer less anxiety after music intervention, especially when they listen to their choice of music. Judging from the number of positive results, one can easily estimate that music actually is good for the heart
