Stay home: Priyanka Chopra warns fans of the 'grave' Covid situation in India

The actress raised concerns about the 'scary' and 'out of control' second wave of Covid.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared a list of dos and don'ts that can help ease the immense pressure on India's medical system.
The current Covid-19 situation has raised alarms all across the country and the world.

Bollywood actress and international icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas took to social media to share her concerns about the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic on Tuesday.

Terming the situation 'grave', the 38-year-old actress said that she has come across various images and stories which should how the second wave of Covid is 'scary' and 'out of control'. "Our medical fraternity is at a breaking point," she wrote.


Chopra Jonas also requested her fans to stay at home and wear a mask when venturing out when absolutely necessary. "Please stay home... I beg you to stay home. Do it for yourself, your family, friends, neighbours, community, and also our frontline workers," the actor's note read.


The 'Fashion' star further shared a list of dos and don'ts that can help ease the immense pressure on India's medical system. Warning fans to not take the situation lightly, she urged her fans to stay indoors, mask up when venturing out, and get vaccinated when their turn comes. The actor also requested her fans to talk to those around them and help them understand this situation.

India's daily new cases are showing a rising trend and a total 2,59,170 new cases were registered in a span of 24 hours, according to Union the Health Ministry.

India's total active caseload has reached 20,31,977 and now comprises 13.26 per cent of the country's total infections. A net increase of 1,02,648 cases recorded in the total active caseload in a day.
