Another win for PM Modi’s Make in India campaign — Kalanick announced a new facility in Hyderabad for the cab aggregator, which is going to be its largest centre outside the US. This deal will reportedly bring in investment of $50 million over the next few years.

Masayoshi Son, CEO, Softbank and Nikesh Arora, President, Softbank

Son was spotted sitting between Arora and his wife Ayesha Thapar. He said Softbank is looking to raise the bank’s investment in Indian firms to $10 billion, reiterating Travis Kalanick’s three Bs — Bay Area, Beijing and Bengaluru — for the world’s hottest start-up destinations.
