SRK in awe of 'Beast' trailer, says he is a fan of Thalapathy Vijay

In less than 48 hours, the Hindi trailer of 'Beast', titled 'Raw', had nearly 1.78 lakh views. One of those views was from Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Sharing the link to the Hindi trailer, the King Khan of Bollywood said that he watched the nearly three-minute long video with 'Mersal' director Arun 'Atlee' Kumar, who is Vijay's diehard fan.

Calling himself a fan of Vijay too, the 56-year-old said the trailer looked 'meaner… leaner… stronger." "Wishing the best for 'Beast' to the whole team," he wrote in his post.



His post was retweeted nearly 30.5K times, and liked by over 103K people.

The Vijay-starrer 'Theri' film-maker thanked SRK for the 'lovely wishes'. "It means a lot to us," he wrote in a quote retweet.


The Tamil trailer of director Nelson Dilipkumar's explosive action thriller was released on Saturday evening and has garnered more than 4.17 crore views on YouTube.

The trailer shows terrorists hijacking a popular mall, called the East Coast Mall, in Chennai. The government appoints a negotiator (Selvaraghavan), who is relieved to know that a RAW agent and an Indian soldier called Veeraraghavan (Vijay), considered to be among the best of spies, is inside the mall. The trailer gives a glimpse into the action sequences the film has in store for its viewers.


Produced by Sun Pictures, actress Pooja Hegde will play the female lead in the film, and Anirudh has worked on the music. However, the industry pundits on Tuesday claimed that the film had been banned in Kuwait.

Although some of the entertainment industry trackers claimed that Kuwait's Ministry of Information had banned the Tamil film, it was not clear as to why the film had been banned. Some of the reasons that they suspected for the film being banned included the portrayal of Pakistan, terrorists and violence.

'Beast' is not the first Indian film to be banned in Kuwait. Earlier, Kuwait had also banned the Malayalam film 'Kurup' and the Tamil film 'FIR'.

The Vijay-starrer (releasing on April 13) is all set to clash with actor Yash's 'KGF: Chapter 2', which is arriving on April 14.

Meanwhile, SRK finished the Spain schedule for his upcoming film 'Pathaan' on March end and is back home now. The film, which also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, will hit the theatres on January 25, 2023.

Pathan' marks SRK's comeback to movies after almost four years, and will be seen essaying the role of a spy.
