Sridevi cremated with state honours at Vile Parle crematorium in Mumbai

The body of the actress, wrapped in the Tricolour, was carried in an AC truck. Her husband and daughters were also present.

The last rites of Bollywood icon Sridevi whose sudden death on Sunday left family, friends and fans in disbelief and grief, has been completed in Mumbai.

Here are key updates:

- The body of the actress was brought to the Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium and Hindu Cemetery in Lokhandwala

- Her body was carried in a casket in a tall, air-conditioned truck, fully decorated with white flowers

- The body was draped in the National Tri-colour

- Her family - husband Boney, daughters Khushi and Jahnvi, and step-son Arjun, along with others - travelled with her

- A police gun salute was rendered with cries of "Sridevi Amar Rahe" in the air

- Bollywood personalities paid their last respect at the crematorium

- Industrialist Anil Ambani also present at the cremation

- Sridevi's body was flown from Dubai in a jet belonging to Anil Ambani

- A prayer was performed at the Celebration Sports Club hall in Lokhandwala before taking the actor's body for the last rites

- A giant photograph of Sridevi was put up outside the club which was covered with white lilies, mogra and red roses

- Earlier, this morning, thousands of fans thronged the Celebration Sports Club in Lokhandwala to pay respect to film icon Sridevi

- Sridevi's body was brought to the Celebrations Sports Club near her residence in Lokhandwala on Wednesday morning for people to pay tribute

- The body of the actress was wrapped in a red-and-golden Kanjeevaram saree and kept in a glass cascade

- A condolence meet was organised at the Celebrations Club
