Spotify Wrapped 2021 is here with 'Audio Aura', 'Opening Credit Song' and more. Here's how to find it on Android, iOS

Music streaming app Spotify keeps working on features and playlists to keep the listeners hooked to their platform and offer the best experience.

As the year 2021 inches closer to the end, the music streaming giant is here with its much awaited 'Wrapped' list to help us reflect on our journey and listening habits.

The 'Wrapped' list basically gives user a personalised listening experience where it shows you how you spent your best moments on the app.


Spotify has been releasing 'Wrapped' for last three years now and each passing year, the tech company has been adding extra fun element to their wrap.

What's new this year?
The 'Wrapped 2021' this year has an updated look. It which plays out on your screen like a movie with your known songs playing in the background. The window-to-window playout kind of looks similar to Instagram Stories interface.

This year, users' also have the option to share their lists which includes 'Most Played Songs', 'Top Artists', 'Listening Minutes' and more directly on their social media platforms, instant messaging apps or contacts, with a click of button with no need to take a screen grab and then uploading it elsewhere.

This year's wrap also comes with your own personalised 'Audio Aura'.

Spotify has used vibes such as focused, euphoric, kindness, energy and more to define the user's Audio Aura based on the kind of music they listened to on their platform this year.

How to access your personalised 'Wrapped 2021' list:
Unlike the previous year, users can only view their 'Wrapped 2021' list on Spotify mobile app after they log in.

Once you have downloaded the app and logged in, or opened the app if you already have it downloaded on your phone, you'll see 'Your 2021 Wrapped is here' flashing right below your six most recent listens.

That's your wrap of the year.

Click on the icon and a window will pop up with a welcome message as your musical journey in form of a small audio visual gallery begins.

In the beginning, Spotify will show your your 'Opening Credit Theme', which is the song you have most likely gone back to far too often during your listening sessions.

Then it will show you your number of minutes spent on the app listening to songs this year, the times you streamed your top song, a list of your five top artists, your top five genres among a count of the genres you streamed in 2021.

During the journey, Spotify also shares a wrapped playlist curated with your top songs from 2021, long enough to last a "self-care routine". You can add the playlist to your music library.

In the end of your musical recap experience, the music streaming giant gives you the option to share your list with the world with no fuss of taking screen shots or recording your screen for the video experience.
