‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ fan frenzy continues, biggest superhero opening on Day 1 at Rs 32 crore

'Spider-Man: No way home' is smashing box office records in India. The movie registered a whopping Rs 32.7 crore on its opening day and is going strong. According to Sony Pictures, the film's first day's gross earning stood at Rs 41.5 crore. Interestingly, it is the highest among superhero movies released in the last few years.
Earlier, southern superstar Allu Arjun whose big-ticket release ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ collided with the Spider-man movie, said that he did not see it as a competition and that the audience need to go to theatres to preserve the culture of cinema halls.

The third instalment raked in 3.5 times more on its first day than its predecessor 'Spider-Man: Far from home', released in 2019.

The latest film stars Tom Holland is being hailed as a refreshing change by fans. Many have gone on to call it a superhero movie with slick adventure and emotional depth.


While for some watching Spider-man come alive on the silver screen after long was good enough celebration, many have been excited to see the movie unite Tom Holland’s era with previous Spiderman universes with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.

The movie attempts to recreate the legendary meme with the three spider-mans pointing at each other in astonishment.

Spidey fans were seen sharing pictures similar to the meme that has been viral since time immemorial.

Theatres screening the film have been witnessing an unusual display of affection by fans for the super-hero.

Another tweet showed how overjoyed fans were when all three, Mcguire, Garfield and Holland, came on the screen.

Earlier this week, Benedict Cumberbatch who plays Doctor strange urged fans not to share spoilers. “I know I get accused of being a bit of curmudgeonly English killjoy, but really, think the biggest killjoy possible would be to leak out, tell, get that tiny little feast on of ‘I’m the one to spoil the movie for others," he said in a video posted by Marvel's Twitter account.

Ever since its release, critics have been raving the movie for being a consistently engaging blockbuster. And, so are fans all over the world, with most of them sporting the spidey costume and clicking pictures of jubilation outside cinema halls.

Noted critic, Taran Adarsh, said that the movie was thrice the fun and thrice the entertainment and gave it a five-star rating.

The film also features Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May.
