Spider-Man: Brand New Day OTT release

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has finally reached cinemas, bringing Tom Holland back as Peter Parker and Zendaya back as MJ. The fourth film in Holland's Spider-Man series arrived in theatres on July 31, and fans who have already watched it are now looking ahead to its digital and OTT release.

The new film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and continues Peter's story after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day OTT release date

There is no confirmed OTT release date for Spider-Man: Brand New Day at the moment. Sony is still listing the movie as a theatrical release, which means fans should not expect it to appear on a subscription streaming service immediately.

The first home-viewing option is expected to be a digital purchase or rental rather than a normal OTT subscription. Current reports point towards a digital release around October or early November 2026, although this is only an expected window and not an official date.

For comparison, Spider-Man: No Way Home reached digital platforms roughly three months after its theatrical release. Whether Brand New Day follows the same pattern is still unclear, particularly because the movie is having a strong run in cinemas.

This is where things get a little confusing for MCU fans. Although Spider-Man: Brand New Day is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sony Pictures controls the Spider-Man film distribution, so Disney+ is not automatically its first streaming home.

Netflix is expected to be the main subscription streaming destination in the US because of Sony's existing arrangement with the platform. Current estimates put the Netflix release around late 2026 or possibly early 2027. Disney+ could get the movie later, but there is no confirmed date for that either.

The streaming situation can also differ by country. In the UK, Sony's previous Tom Holland Spider-Man movies have been available through Sky and NOW, so those platforms could be relevant for Brand New Day too, though Sony has not confirmed the film's streaming destination.

What is Spider-Man: Brand New Day about?

The story begins several years after No Way Home, where Doctor Strange's spell erased Peter Parker from everyone's memory. MJ and Ned no longer remember their relationship with him, leaving Peter to live almost completely on his own.

He continues fighting crime in New York as Spider-Man, but his life starts changing when he faces a new threat and finds himself dealing with powers and pressures that he may not be able to control. Sony describes the story as Peter confronting a transformation that could be connected to the city's latest danger.
