NEW DELHI: Spice on Wednesday partnered with Google to launch India’s first Android One Hindi smartphone priced at Rs 6,499.

The device, Spice Dream Uno H Android One Phone, has been especially designed for the 300 million Hindi speaking people, Spice in a statement said.

The new product is dual SIM with 3G and is powered with 1.3 GHz quad core processor. It runs on 4.4.4 Kitkat OS.

Spice Dream Uno H Android One Phone features 11.43-cm IPS display and comes with an expandable storage capacity of 32GB.

“We believe that this phone will contribute immensely in connecting the 300 million Hindi speaking masses to the internet with its useful applications such as Google Search, YouTube and Google Maps,” Spice Mobility Chief Executive Prashant Bindal said.

Caesar Sengupta, VP, Product at Google India, said that they were excited by the launch of the second Spice Android One smartphone, which now targets Hindi users.
