"The person, who designed this, would be able to give us some real out-of-the-box ideas for making our factory layouts more efficient," Anand Mahindra wrote.
NEW DELHI: Anand Mahindra has, time and again, admired India's potential for budget-friendly innovations, termed as 'jugaad', colloquially.

On Monday, the Mahindra Group Chairman took to Twitter to share a tweet of a video, showing a space-saver parking technique. Calling it the 'geometrical' elegance of the solution, he lauded the designer behind this innovation.

"The person, who designed this, would be able to give us some real out-of-the-box ideas for making our factory layouts more efficient," Mahindra wrote.

The 1-minute-long video showed a compact car being parked on a heavy lifting jack, which is later pushed to the under-stair area neatly aligned with the structure of the house.

Meanwhile, the 65-year-old business tycoon also also took the opportunity to share his views about the iron wheels of the country.

Mahindra quoted Union Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal's tweet which informed that the passenger train operations will restart from Tuesday (May 12) with 15 pairs of special trains connecting New Delhi with major stations across India. The booking in these trains starts at 4 pm today.

The billionaire found the news uplifting and motivating for Monday.

"When those iron wheels start turning, you can feel this giant nation begin to reconnect. The second largest rail network in the world is not only India’s lifeblood, it signifies the hopes & dreams & ambitions of a billion people," he wrote.

Earlier, he had suggested a "comprehensive" lifting of lockdown after 49 days, saying the industrial recovery will be painfully slow if the government goes for “sequential opening” of different parts of the country.

"Research suggests a 49-day lockdown is optimal. If true, then post that duration, I believe the lifting of the lockout should be comprehensive," the businessman said in a series of tweets.
