It’s not just the morning thrill, but the highs and lows of an entire match day that the former skipper looks back on.
It has been a decade since he last played international cricket and yet, rarely does a day go by when someone doesn’t ask Sourav Ganguly if he misses the game. The former skipper says his answer has remained the same — “Life is great. I enjoy what I do now and finances are not a problem. The one thing I do miss though is that pressure at 7:30 in the morning when I used to wake up to get ready for a Test match or a one-day game.”
And it’s not just the morning thrill, but the highs and lows of an entire match day that he looks back on. “I knew that I would be judged throughout the day. I would either be successful or I would be a failure. That’s missing now,” Ganguly said at an event in Mumbai sometime ago.
