Sony postpones PlayStation 5 event amid unrest in the US, says wants to step back and let more important voices be heard

DJI’s OSMO Mobile is our favorite hand-held stabilizer: it works with most smartphones and delivers great results. The company has now launched a similar product that can literally fit into your pocket (hence, the name). The Pocket is a lightweight and compact 3-axis stabilized handheld camera. It has a 12MP camera with 1/2.3-inch sensor, f2.0 aperture and 80-degree field of view. It’s capable of recording 4k video at 60fps and gives you features like Motion lapse, FPV mode, NightShot and 3 x 3 panorama. The ActiveTrack feature intelligently follows the selected subject. It also has a built-in touchscreen, easy access buttons and a sweatproof handle for comfortable grip. A single charge can give you up to 140 minutes of video recording.

Sony announced the PlayStation Classic back in September but we still have no clarity if and when it will come to India. The Classic should be on the must-buy list for anyone who loves retro consoles. Sony has kept the same design as the original PlayStation 1 including the multicolor logo. Although the size is 45% smaller than the original it comes preloaded with 20 titles and offers HDMI port for connectivity. The box includes two wired controllers with a similar design and button layout as the original controllers. It is powered by a Mediatek 8167 quad A35 processor, has 1GB RAM, PowerVR graphics and 16GB storage.

Google announced this new tablet to take on the iPad Pro. It features a 12.3-inch touchscreen (3000 x 2000 pixels) and offers Pixelbook Pen support. You can get it in your choice of Intel Celeron or Core m3/i5/i7 processors, up to 16GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The tablet features stereo speakers, fingerprint scanner and two USB-C ports (for charging and accessories). Both, the rear 8MP f1.9 camera and 8MP f1.8 front camera support 1080p video recording. It runs Chrome OS and comes with Google Apps Suite Plus, Google Assistant and split-screen functionality. It offers up to 12 hours of battery life and supports fast charge (2 hours of use with 15 minutes of charge). There is also an optional Pixel Slate keyboard stand with backlit keys and a trackpad.

Fitbit launched the Charge 2 last year and garnered great reviews from the media and consumers alike. Its successor was announced earlier this year but has not reached Indian shores. Why would you want it? It has a 40% larger display compared to the Charge 2 and it’s a touchscreen to boot! You get continuous heart rate tracking, swim tracking, fitness, sleep tracking along with smartphone notifications. The band can automatically detect and track the exercise you’re doing, display move reminders, and a battery life of up to 7 days. Considering India gets almost all Fitbit products we are hoping the Charge 3 will be launched soon.

Dolby is a company known for audio technologies that make their way into a myriad of different consumer electronics. The company recently launched their first hardware product: Dolby Dimension headphones. Dolby says that these are the first wireless headphones perfected for home entertainment. They employ a Qualcomm Snapdragon ARM processor for audio processing which makes them capable of a 5.1.2 channel surround sound. A head tracking feature adjusts audio direction based on your head and location of source audio. You can also control the level of active noise cancellation and switch between paired devices at the touch of a button. Other features include beam-forming mics, voice assistant support, touch controls, fast charge and app control.
