Sonu Nigam makes a request to political leaders after Rajasthan CM leaves his show midway

Singer Sonu Nigam recently addressed an issue related to his performance at the Rising Rajasthan summit. According to the singer, where the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma, and other ministers of the state left his show midway. Taking to Instagram, Sonu made a heartfelt appeal to politicians, urging them to avoid attending events if they plan to leave before the performance concludes, as it reflects a lack of respect for the artists and a disrespect to Goddess Saraswati.

In the video posted on his social media, Sonu Nigam shared his observations about the event, where several delegates from around the world had gathered to celebrate the pride of Rajasthan. He mentioned that the chief minister, along with other ministers, left during his performance, which led to a significant number of delegates following suit. The famous singer expressed his disappointment, emphasizing that such actions are disrespectful to the artist and the art form. He said that leaving in the middle of a performance insults not only the artist but also goddess Saraswati, the goddess of learning and the arts.

The singer further explained that after the leaders' exit, he received messages from concerned fans, who advised him to avoid performing at events where politicians might leave abruptly. Sonu’s message to political figures was clear: If they must leave early, they should do so before the show begins, rather than disrupting it midway. He acknowledged the busy schedules of politicians and their many responsibilities but reiterated that their early departure before the event would be more respectful than leaving mid-way.



Sonu Nigam’s plea was accompanied by a caption in which he requested politicians not to attend performances if they cannot stay for the entire duration, calling it a disrespect to both the artists and the art itself. He concluded his message by expressing his respect for the politicians' work but asking them to refrain from attending events where they might not stay until the end.
