Sonakshi Sinha’s father, Shatrughan Sinha, bought a bungalow in 1972; today, it is a 10-storey mansion estimated to be nearly Rs 90 crore. Home has separate floor for every member, jali windows, sliding glass doors, private gym
Sonakshi Sinha’s childhood home Ramayana is not just palatial; it also has history. The now 10-storey house was once a simple bungalow bought by her father, actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha in the early 70s. Today, it is a palatial building with ...

Every family member has an individual floor, complete with a dedicated private lift. Sonakshi Sinha resides on the top floor of the Ramayana bungalow, which she has thoughtfully revamped to showcase her personal taste. Designed under the direction of Rupin Suchak, the interiors blend minimalist aesthetics with eclectic details, resulting in a lively yet welcoming ambience. Colourful paintings, artistic accents, tactile fabrics and geometric patterns introduce visual interest, while distinctive furniture pieces bring the different elements together in a cohesive design. The pantry area has arched windows and neon lights, giving a contemporary touch to the vintage aesthetic of the room.
According to Design Asia magazine, in Sonakshi’s living space, there are sliding glass doors with bright pink and yellow panels in the living room. The furniture has rich textures and geometric shapes. There is also a personal gym equipped with state-of-the-art machines such as treadmills and stability maintenance chairs. The entrance to the home is very traditional – a black-hued wooden bench with intricate designs and a magnificent jali window (latticed screen) give a regal touch to the room.
The interiors balance uncluttered, minimalist spaces with striking furniture and artistic accents, prioritising understated luxury and comfort over excessive ornamentation. The living room is elegant and cosy, with shining marble floors, silver-hued sofas, pristine off-white walls and soft pin curtains. The bedrooms feature deeper colour palettes, delicate fairy lights and warm decorative touches, creating intimate, restful sanctuaries that feel personal and inviting rather than designed to impress like a show home.
According to Jansatta.com, the price of Ramayana is approximately Rs 88 crores.
Due to the rising prices of land, many celebrities have chosen to renovate their home and modify it rather than shift into a new home. The other prominent example is Anil Kapoor who built his Rs 30 crore Juhu bungalow by acquiring the building's floors one by one.
