Sonakshi Sinha receives luxury car worth Rs 2 cr from husband Zaheer Iqbal as wedding gift

A memorable day deserves a larger-than-life gift. Bollywood diva Sonakshi Sinha, who recently got hitched to her fiancée, Zaheer Iqbal, was given the perfectly, filmy wedding gift, a luxury car! The 'Heeramandi ' star received a BMW i7 electric sedan. According to an IANs report, the car costs a whopping Rs 2 crore!

Pictures of the two zooming around across the city in what appears to be the new car has gone viral on the Internet. In the photos, Sonakshi looks ethereal in a red saree, an ornate gold jewellery and sindoor. Her reception look was a throwback to her role Rajjo, in her debut movie 'Dabangg', and made many fans feel nostalgic. "It seems that Rajjo finally founder her Chulbbul in real life, " gushed a fan on BollyBlindsGossip sub Reddit.

Earlier, on Wednesday, the lovebirds took to Instagram to share the photographs of their wedding reception. The grand party was held at the posh pub Bastian, which is owned by actress Shilpa Shetty. Dropping the photos, the much in love couple wrote, “Whattttt a day!!!! The love, the laughter, the togetherness, the excitement, the warmth, the support from every one of our friends, families and teams… it was like the universe came together for two people in love to give them exactly what they’ve always hoped, wished and prayed for (love). If this is not divine intervention… we dont know what is. We are both truly blessed to have each other and so much love protecting us.”


The duo got married on Sunday through an intimate civil wedding, which were attended by their family members and close friends. Among those present were her close friend and 'Double XL' co-star Huma Qureshi and her brother Saqib Saleem. As Sonakshi's elder brother Luv was not present at the event, Saqib took over his responsibilities.

Sonakshi and Zaheer have been together for the past seven years. They were introduced to each other in 2017, by superstar Salman Khan, who is also a mutual friend. Before the wedding, neither the actors confirmed or denied dating rumours. Zaheer had co-starred with Sonakshi in the 2022 comedy drama 'Double XL'.

Iqbal is a model-actor. He hails from a family of jewelers. His father Iqbal Ratansi is close to Salman Khan and his family.
