'Some memories stick with you forever.' Windows turns 28, Bill Gates does a throwback moment
Bill Gates celebrated the 28th anniversary of Windows by sharing a heartwarming message on social media. He also posted a video clip of himself dancing with Steve Ballmer during the Windows 95 launch party.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Gates shared heartwarming sentiments. He wrote, "Some memories stick with you forever. Others follow you around the internet for 28 years. Happy birthday, Windows," Gates expressed in his post.
The tweet was accompanied by a short video clip in which Gates was seen dancing happily with Steve Ballmer, the former CEO of Microsoft, during the Windows 95 launch party nearly three decades ago.
The event, which happened on August 24, 1995, was a spectacle of its own, boasting of a star-studded guest list including prominent artists and actors.
The Windows 95 launch was no ordinary affair. At the time it introduced several revolutionary features that have formed the building blocks of modern operating systems.
This version marked a significant architectural advancement, transitioning to a 32-bit system from its predecessor, Windows 3.1. Moreover, it introduced user-centric enhancements, including the ability to efficiently name multiple files in one go.
As Gates commemorates the past, he also celebrates those who are steering the future.
One such narrative unfolded recently on LinkedIn, where he recounted an encounter with Kusuma K, an inspiring individual employed by the postal department in Bangalore, India.
The billionaire said, “I met an incredible force for change on my trip to India: Kusuma K, a remarkable young woman working wonders at her local postal department."
