Some amusing incidents around the Sheetal Mafatlal's art controversy

Mumbai society is often a theatre of the absurd. The latest example of this is the counterfeit art controversy involving Sheetal Mafatlal, wife of industrialist Atulya Mafatlal.

Areef Patel, Farukh Wadia and Yasmin MY, at the receiving end of Mafatlal's manipulation, addressed a press conference in Mumbai on Monday.

Depression? Ya right

Yasmin exposed Sheetal's claims of being depressed. "Sheetal would say that she is under depression. Then we would Google her, and realise that she was partying in Bangkok with Ameesha Patel."

When a lawyer sees a Manjit Bawa

Another amusing incident concerned the revered Manjit Bawa's painting of a goat, which Sheetal had in her collection. During the investigation, when lawyers clueless about Bawa or his style encountered the painting, they laughed, wondering what the big deal was about the work.
