The webtoon, which follows Sung Suho, the son of Sung Jinwoo, resumed with the release of Chapters 69, 70 and 71 together on South Korean platform KakaoPage. Although the comeback was initially scheduled for November 5, the new episodes arrived a day earlier than announced. The series is now expected to release new chapters every Wednesday.
Cha Haein returns after years in the Land of the Snowfolk
One of the biggest developments in the returning chapters is Cha Haein's reappearance. During her time in the Land of the Snowfolk, she had taken responsibility for looking after Ice Elf children after the adults were no longer around. Her return also brings an emotional moment involving Sung Suho, who is fighting Arsha, the successor of the Monarch of Plagues. Arsha unleashes a powerful plant-based transformation during their confrontation, pushing the battle towards its climax.
The new chapters also show Cha reuniting with fellow S-Rank South Korean Hunters. Another notable moment involves Miho, the daughter of Baek Yoonho, meeting the Ice Elf children whom Haein had been protecting.
However, the reunion does not mean the danger is over. The Apostle of Itarim remains a major threat, having disguised himself as S-Rank Hunter Park Dojin. He is also involved in a confrontation with Lim Taegyu and Thomas Andre.
New artist Sanjimseung takes over after Jin's exit
The return of the webtoon also marks a change behind the scenes. Its previous illustrator, Jin, stepped away after Chapter 68 to fulfil South Korea's mandatory military service requirements. His departure led to the series going on hiatus in January 2026.The third season now introduces Sanjimseung as its new artist. According to reports, the illustrator is among the apprentices of the late Solo Leveling artist Dubu and has previously worked on manhwa titles such as Ice Lord.
Publisher D&C Media had earlier revealed new promotional illustrations featuring Suho, Cha Haein and Arsha ahead of the comeback. The artwork also marked the beginning of the new creative team's run on the series.
