While the duo are yet to release an official statement, a report by ETimes said that they were spotted outside a family court in Mumbai and left in separate vehicles.
A source from the family court told revealed to ETimes that the couple has decided to amicably end their 24-year-old marriage. "Sohail Khan and Seema Sachdev were present in the court today. They have filed for a divorce. Both were friendly towards each other," the source was quoted as saying.
The couple, who tied the knot in 1998, are parents to two sons - Nirvaan (22) and Yohan (11). For the second child, the couple opted for surrogacy, 13 years after their marriage.
In the 2020 Netflix series 'The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives', the duo were seen living in separate houses. The parents would share the responsibilities of their children, who kept shuttling between the two houses.
Talking about her relationship in one of the sequences on the show, the 45-year-old said, "It's just that sometimes when you grow older, your relationships meanders and goes into different directions. I make no apologies about it because we are happy and my kids are happy. Sohail and I are not a conventional marriage but we are a family. We are a unit. For us, him and me and our children matter at the end of the day."
