Any shift can trigger off talk. As it happened when e-commerce major Snapdeal recently vacated its 200-seat capacity office in Mumbai’s Malad for a 90-seat office in a co-working hub in Andheri. On the reason behind the shift, a Snapdeal spokesperson said, “The relocation of our office is to make commuting easier for our Mumbai team. The new office is centrally located, better managed and has extra amenities.

Dismissing the cost-cutting angle for the shift, he added, “This does not have a cost-saving implication and is not intended as such. In fact, we have expanded our Mumbai-based team by inducting more team members in the fashion team.”
