Snapchat rolls out new iOS update, exposes its source code on GitHub
When an app's source code gets exposed, the programme becomes vulnerable to attacks.

As Motherboard reports, the code was exposed on GitHub. However, Snap, the parent company of Snapchat, revealed that it did not compromise the app and had no impact on the community.

When a source code (component that helps in creating a programme) is exposed to hackers, they can make alterations to the code and break it, making the programme vulnerable to attacks.
Snap has asked GitHub to remove the exposed code data from the site. The public access to the repository has also been disabled but some researchers appear to be exchanging the data privately.
