- Actor Amitabh Bachchan said last year that he stopped endorsing a cola brand after he was confronted by a school– girl who wondered why the megastar promoted the soft drink that her teacher had branded as 'poison’. Bachchan also advised other celebrities to do proper due diligence before endorsing brands

- Bachchan also apparently said no to an ad for a TV brand as the content was related to dowry

- Shuttler Pullela Gopichand is reported to have been approached by a cola giant for a commercial but, like Bachchan, he refused it

- It is said John Abraham has refused to endorse tobacco and alcohol-related products

- 'Queen’ Kangana Ranaut, is reported to have rejected a Rs 2-crore deal with a fairness cream brand
