Six years after his death on June 14, 2020, fans continue to remember not only his work on screen but also his passion for learning, exploration and self-improvement. His bucket list remains one of the most fascinating glimpses into the mind of an actor who never stopped dreaming.
More than an actor: A man driven by curiosity
Sushant was known for looking beyond the world of films. He often spoke about his fascination with science, astronomy, technology and education. In 2019, he publicly shared a list of 50 dreams he wanted to accomplish. The list was unlike a typical celebrity wishlist. It featured everything from learning advanced scientific concepts and exploring space-related subjects to mastering new skills and helping children gain access to educational opportunities. The goals reflected the engineer, thinker and explorer within him.
The dreams he managed to fulfil
Before his untimely death, Sushant successfully completed 13 dreams from the list.Among them was learning to fly a plane, a goal he was particularly passionate about. He also trained for an Ironman Triathlon, one of the toughest endurance competitions in the world. His adventurous side led him to take the famous Blue Hole plunge in Belize and swim in cenotes.
The actor also fulfilled his wish to spend a day at CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, where he explored the Large Hadron Collider. Another memorable achievement was observing the Andromeda galaxy through a powerful telescope.
Sushant also checked off dreams such as teaching women self-defence, becoming an ambidextrous archer, conducting experiments in cymatics and spending time at his old Delhi College of Engineering hostel.

SSR's sister emotional tribute
Sushant Singh Rajput's sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, remembered the late actor ahead of his sixth death anniversary by posting an emotional note on Instagram. She also shared an AI-generated image depicting him as Lord Ram. She wrote, "Six years….
Time has passed, yet some souls continue to grow larger than time itself.
When I think of Bhai today, I do not think of how he left but I think of how he lived…
I think of his childlike curiosity, his endless fascination with life, the stars, the universe, and the mysteries of the human mind. I think of a heart that treated people with dignity, regardless of who they were. I think of someone who taught us that success means very little if it is not accompanied by compassion.
Over the years, I have come to realize something beautiful: love does not obey the rules of time.
A body may leave our sight, but the impact of a beautiful soul continues to ripple through countless lives.
Every time someone chooses kindness over anger, learning over ignorance, hope over despair, or love over judgment, a small part of what Bhai stood for continues to live.
The greatest tribute we can offer him is not sadness. It is to live the values he embodied.
Be curious.
Be kind.
Keep learning.
Dream fearlessly.
And never let the world harden your heart.
The deepest measure of a life is not how long it lasted, but how many hearts it awakened.
And by that measure, Bhai remains very much alive.
You continue to inspire millions.
Forever loved.
Forever remembered."
Meanwhile, years after his passing, the bucket-list continues to circulate online because it captures something deeply relatable: the desire to keep dreaming, regardless of how much one has already achieved.
