The East Palace – Netflix
If you enjoy period dramas with ghosts, mystery and a little horror, The East Palace could be the show to add to your watchlist. The story follows Gu Cheon, a ghost slayer, and Saeng Gang, a court lady who can communicate with the dead. Together, they investigate mysterious deaths taking place inside the royal palace. Their search soon leads them to a dark secret that could put the entire kingdom in danger. The East Palace stars Nam Joo-hyuk, Roh Yoon-seo and Cho Seung-woo, and all eight episodes will be available to stream on Netflix from July 17.
Dream to You – Viki
What happens when two people who once loved each other meet again after 15 years? Dream to You explores that question through a romantic comedy about a successful film director who achieved his dream and a former ambitious reporter who has lost sight of hers. Their unexpected reunion slowly brings old feelings back to the surface as they find their way towards each other once again.
The series marks the first on-screen collaboration between Hwang In Youp and Hyeri and also features Baek Sung Chul and Lee Yul Eum. Dream to You premiered on Viki on July 13.
See You at Work Tomorrow – Prime Video
Office romance gets a new twist in See You at Work Tomorrow, a workplace romantic comedy starring Seo In-guk and Park Ji-hyun. The story follows Cha Ji-yoon, a tired corporate employee, who crosses paths with Kang Si-woo, a cynical boss. As office politics and professional tensions bring them closer, the two slowly become important parts of each other's lives.
Based on a popular Kakao Webtoon, the 12-episode K-drama combines workplace drama with romantic tension. Episode 7 was released on July 13, while Episode 8 arrives on July 14 on Prime Video.
Spooky in Love – Netflix
For viewers who like their romance with a supernatural mystery, Spooky in Love offers an unusual premise. Park Eun Bin plays Cheon Yeo Ri, an heiress who can see the spirits of people who died unjustly. She joins forces with prosecutor Ma Gang Uk, played by Yang Se Jong, to investigate a series of mysterious deaths.
Their investigation also takes them towards the hidden motives of a powerful hotel CEO. The 12-episode series also stars Ong Seong Wu and premieres internationally on Netflix on July 18.
Family Register – Viki
Family Register takes a more emotional route with a family melodrama centred on a young woman who has been blamed for destroying her family since birth. As she grows older, she is forced to fight against society's judgement and the fate others have chosen for her. The series follows her journey to reclaim control over her own life.
The drama stars Park Se Young, Han Go Eun, Im Ji Eun, Sung Ie On, Park Sol La and Yoon Hee Seok. Episodes 6 to 10 will be released daily on Viki from July 13 to July 17.
Agent Kim Reactivated – Netflix
Fans of action-packed K-dramas can turn to Agent Kim Reactivated, which follows a former secret agent who has been living a quiet life under the identity of an ordinary bank employee. His peaceful existence comes to an end when his beloved daughter goes missing, forcing him to return to the dangerous world he once left behind. He is joined on the mission by two former covert operators, who are also fathers.
So Ji Sub leads the series alongside Choi Dae Hoon, Yoon Kyung Ho, Joo Sang Wook, Son Naeun and Kim Sung Kyu. Episode 7 releases on July 17 and Episode 4 on July 18 on Netflix.
