Silicon Valley entrepreneur Blake Krikorian dies, tech world mourns loss
The tech world plunged into collective mourning on Friday after the Recode website reported the death of Silicon Valley entrepreneur Blake Krikorian. The 48-year-old Krikorian had apparently died while surfing in San Francisco on Wednesday.

Krikorian has been the co-founder, CEO and chairman of Sling Media that he had set up in June 2004 along with his brother Jason. They had later sold Slingbox to Echostar Communications in 2007 for $380 million. . According to his LinkedIn profile, his last-held position was the CEO of id8 Group R2 Studios. He was also on the Amazon’s board of directors.
