Siddhu Jonnalagadda's Jack to release on Netflix.
Siddhu Jonnalagadda, who became a household name after the massive success of DJ Tillu and its sequel Tillu Square, has built a strong fan base with his quirky charm and effortless comic timing. His back-to-back blockbusters set high expectations for his next outing, and when Jack was announced, fans and trade experts alike were eager to see if he could recreate the magic. But this time around, the actor’s streak seems to have hit a bump.

Directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar and produced by BVSN Prasad, Jack is an action comedy that opened with decent occupancy in theatres, driven by Siddhu’s star power. However, the film quickly fizzled out due to poor word of mouth and underwhelming reviews. Despite a promising premise, Jack failed to connect with audiences, and its theatrical run ended on a disappointing note. But it will get a second chance.

When and where to watch on OTT?

In a silver lining for the makers, OTT giant Netflix had acquired the digital rights to Jack for a significant price. While earlier reports suggested the film might arrive early on streaming, it has now been confirmed that Jack will premiere on Netflix on May 10, 2025. The digital release is expected to offer the film a second chance, especially among Siddhu’s loyal fan base.

About the movie- Jack

The film follows the story of a man with dreams of becoming a RAW agent, who unexpectedly finds himself caught in a terrorist plot. His journey to help crack the case forms the crux of the story. While Siddhu’s performance did earn praise from sections of his fans, critics noted that his character felt like an extension of his popular Tillu persona, leaving little freshness in the portrayal. Co-starring Baby actress Vaishnavi Chaitanya, the film also faced online trolling for her performance and appearance, further denting its reception.

He has Telusu Kada, directed by Neeraja Kona in the pipeline.
