Sid Mallya can't escape trolls, attracts criticism on recent Instagram picture
Last year, Vijay Mallya made an impassioned plea to social media trolls to leave his son Sid alone. The UB Group chairman and 'wilful defaulter' left India in March 2016, leaving behind unpaid bank loans worth Rs9,000 crore.

"My son Sid does not deserve all this hatred and abuse. He has had nothing to do with my business. Shower abuse on me if you must but not him," Mallya said, in a series of tweets.

But looks like Sid Mallya can't escape trolling — not that he seems too perturbed by it. He recently uploaded a picture of him and his adorable puppy, trying to fit into a suitcase.

"When u don't want someone to leave so u and the dog get into the suitcase out of protest #clown #banter," he captioned the photo.

While we leave you to wonder if he was referring to "good friend" Freida Pinto, social media users were quick to write back to him.

Amid the wild guesses on the identity of the mystery someone, came one comment, "Practising for Tihar..?" Mallya retorted, "Apparently the cell is slightly larger there so I should be fine."
