Shuttler Sai Praneeth weds Swetha Jayanthi; Saina-Parupalli, Kidambi Srikanth celebrate at reception

The reception, held on Thursday in Hyderabad, was a lavish affair. Among guests at the do was Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who posed with the newlyweds and their families.

Former model-actress Sangeeta Bijlani, who opted for a blue lehenga for the occasion, was also spotted in the frame alongside ex-husband Azharuddin.

The newlyweds forgo traditional outfits for the reception, with Asad looking dapper in a black tuxedo and his stylist-wife shimmering in a champagne-coloured gown.

Tennis ace Sania Mirza opted for a burgundy lehenga for her sister's reception.

Director-choreographer Farah Khan Kunder flew down to Hyderabad to attend Anam's reception. The 54-year-old mother-of-three is close friends with Sania Mirza, and the duo are often spotted together. The 'Main Hoon Na' maker opted for a red and gold outfit for the occasion, and posed with the bride.

Krishna R Bhupal (l), Director, GVK Power & Infrastructure Limited, along with wife Dia Mehhta Bhupal, who dazzled in a black saree, were among the guests at the reception. The grandson of GVK Reddy, Bhupal holds a finance and accounting degree from Villanova University, Philadelphia, while Dia (2nd l) is an alumna of the Parsons School of Design in New York.

Also in attendance were actor Ram Charan and wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela, Vice Chairperson, Apollo Foundation.

GVK Founder and Chairman GV Krishna Reddy posed with wife Indira and daughter Shalini Bhupal (c) at the reception.

Indira Reddy opted for a red silk saree for the occasion, while Bhupal was dressed in white. The mother and daughter both completed their looks with pearl neckpieces.

Ace shuttler Saina Nehwal arrived with dad Harvir for the reception. Nehwal opted for an ensemble by designer-duo Shyamal & Bhumika that she paired with diamonds and rubies.

Also giving her company at the function was star coach Pullela Gopichand who was accompanied by wife Lakshmi.

It was a reunion of sorts for former teammates Mohammad Kaif (c), Irfan Pathan (r) and VVS Laxman at the reception. While Kaif was accompanied by wife Pooja, Pathan - dressed in a pink blazer, and Laxman - in an all-black three-piece suit, attended the function by themselves.

Producer Boney Kapoor was clicked with former Miss India Ishika Taneja at the reception. Also in attendance was former actress and 'Bigg Boss 2' contestant Monica Bedi (r), who opted for a champagne-coloured net saree and competed her look with a diamond neckpiece.

Former cricketer Syed Kirmani also attended the reception to bless the newlyweds, and congratulate his once-teammate Azharuddin.
