Shraddha Kapoor releases 'Haseena Parkar' trailer, but Twitterati sees terror!

It is a big day for the ' Haseena Parkar' team after Shraddha Kapoor tweeted the movie's new poster and trailer.

She captioned it, "Aapa is coming. Here's the new poster of #HaseenaParkar. Hope you like it? @ApoorvaLakhia @SiddhanthKapoor @AnkBhatia".​

Later in the day, she also shared the trailer, "Very excited and nervous to share the trailer of #HaseenaParkar. Hope you all like it".

But, Twitterati, clearly was not too impressed.

The movie is based on true story of Haseena Parkar, who also happens to be notorious gangster Dawood Ibrahim's sister. Parkar, known as 'Aapa', was herself known as the Godmother of Nagpada, handling the Don's business for nearly four decades.

Many on Twitter objected to what they saw as the glamourisation of terrorists.

However, a few people defended and appreciated Kapoor's talent in the new trailer.

It is unfair to write off #HaseenaParkar the movie as glamorising and/ idolising her without knowing what it (the movie) is about

Earlier last week, Kapoor had also shared the first poster of the movie.

Apart from Shraddha Kapoor, the film also stars Siddhanth Kapoor and Ankur Bhatia. It is directed by Apoorva Lakhia of 'Shootout at Lokhandwala' fame.

The movie is set for release on August 18.
