Shilpa Shetty's father, Surendra Shetty passes away

Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty lost her father, Surendra Shetty this afternoon. He was the manufacturer of tamper-proof water caps for the pharmaceutical industry. Shilpa's father had even produced a Indo-Chinese drama film for her titled, ' The Desire', which unfortunately remained unreleased.

Surendra Shetty succumbed to a heart attack and breathed his last this afternoon at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. He is now survived by wife Sunanda and daughters Shilpa and Shamita Shetty. Our deepest and heartfelt condolences with Shilpa and her family. May her father's soul rest in peace and may God give enough strength to the family to bear this irreparable loss.
