NEW DELHI: Bollywood actress-turned-fitness enthusiast Shilpa Shetty-Kundra has bid farewell to Lord Ganesh after one-and-a-half days of celebration on Wednesday.
The actress shared a video on several social media platforms, where she was seen performing aarti, dancing and performing visarjanrituals along with her family husband Raj Kundra, son Viaan and sister Shamita Shetty.
On the day of the sthapana, the 44-year-old actress went live during the Ganapati aarti on Tuesday. Her caption read, "The energy is inexplicable while performing an aarti. Love how the vibe all around becomes so positive".
Like last year, Shetty-Kundra, who recently become the member of PM Narendra Modi's 'Fit India' Committee last week, had an eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi this year too. In her Instagram post she wrote, "While I’m spiritual and celebrate all festivals, I’m also responsible towards our Mother Earth and we have continued our tradition of having an #ecofriendly Ganesha idol."
She also said that this was her 10th year of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi at home after marriage. Her caption read, "The remover of obstacles and Lord of success... May He bestow us all with His blessings this Ganesh Chaturthi".
