Sheryl Sandberg's message on Mother's Day: We all owe it to single mothers

On the occasion of Mother's Day on this Sunday, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg has posted a special message for mothers all around the world, especially the ones who have to raise their children all on their own.

Sandberg unexpectedly lost her husband Dave Goldberg last year. In the post, she describes how the loss of her partner has changed things for her and the children in the past year.



She says, people become single parents for many reasons: loss of a partner, breakdown of a relationship, by choice. One year and five days ago I joined them.
