'Sherni' gets a salute! Indian Army names firing range after Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan is on a professional high. The actress is basking in the success of her recently-released Amazon Prime Video film 'Sherni' and was recently invited to join the board of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.

And now, the Indian Army has given the 'Kahaani' actress another reason to celebrate.

The Armed Forces named one of its military firing ranges after Balan as a way to recognise her contribution to cinema.


The Vidya Balan Firing Range is located in Gulmarg, Kashmir.

Earlier this year, the actress and her husband producer Siddharth Roy Kapur had attended the Gulmarg Winter Festival organised by the Indian Army.
